Huntington finishes week long flurry of events

Huntington's annual Heritage Days celebration was held last week in Huntington.

The events began with a Heritage Days Rodeo and the Huntington Glee Club Patriotic fireside.

The baby contest, talent show and dinner were held on Wednesday.

The Val Jensen band entertained in the park that evening.

On Thursday there was an ice cream social, kids games and entertainment in the park. A kids parade and kids fireworks rounded out the day.

Friday the fourth started with a fun run down Huntington Canyon and breakfast in the park.

The parade was at 10 a.m. down the Huntington Main Street. Entertainment and vendors and kids games followed in the park. The Huntington color splash was at 2 p.m. Lawn mower races, volleyball and fireworks completed the celebration.

The Val Jensen band was the grand marshals for the event.

The local boy scouts presented a flag retirement on Friday morning at 7 a.m.
