The board approved the annual fee schedule for Emery schools with the addition of a $10 fee for the A+ credit recovery program. This fee will be refundable to the student if they complete the credit recovery program. This is an online program available to students who have failed a class or need credits to be able to graduate. Many times students enroll in the program and then don't follow through. If the student doesn't complete the program the school will keep the fee. Green River High School also uses this program.

The board approved the negotiated items with the Emery Education Association and the Emery Classified Association. The step and lanes funding will stay in tact and there will be a 1.7 percent increase in the retirement rate. There will be a 1 percent cost of living increase and 93.3 percent of the medical expenses will continue to be paid along with 60 percent of the dental. Three extended days will be kept. One change will be to tie the extra-curricular salary schedule to the increases so these salaries will also be included.
There will be substitute teacher training on Aug. 5-6 in Castle Dale. There will be haz-mat training on Aug. 11 at the Emery High little theatre. Aug. 13-14 will be new teacher training at the district office. On Aug. 19 school will begin.
