Emery County Sheriff's office responded to a rock slide up Straight Canyon Monday evening. Heavy rain triggered a rock slide, State Road 29 and Cottonwood Canyon were closed while crews cleared debris. Caption Ekker advised that UDOT has one lane open now up Straight Canyon and will continue to work through the night to get both lanes open. Cottonwood Canyon is now open. Cottonwood Creek is flowing high right now and they advise everyone to use caution around the creek through Orangeville and Castle Dale.
