The Mission San Rafael Catholic Church held a potluck dinner and award ceremony for Emery County Sheriff LaMar Guymon on Sunday. Father Donald Hope presented Sheriff Guymon with a plaque of appreciation for his many hours of dedicated service to the Catholic Community in Emery County. A poster was also compiled for Sheriff Guymon with pictures and occassions when he came to the aid of the Catholics in the community.

Sheriff Guymon said how much he appreciated working with the many Catholics in Emery County and he thanked them for the good people they are. "It has been a pleasure to serve and work with you these past years," said Sheriff Guymon.

Members of the mission prepared a potluck dinner and everyone ate and visited with Sheriff Guymon and his family.
