Southeastern Utah District Health Department would like to help stock local food banks for the holidays, but also wants to help the community be as healthy as possible. A person getting their flu vaccination can help do that. Dec. 5-11 is National Influenza Vaccination Week. During regular immunization hours you can just show up with two cans of food and get a flu shot. Family of four? No problem, just bring eight cans of food.

David Cunningham, Health Director states "Getting a flu shot might not be a priority for someone if they don't have enough food for themselves or their families. We realize flu vaccine has been available in our community for several weeks, but this is a unique event and we are excited to offer it in this way."

Castle Dale Office immunization clinic hours for this event are: Tuesday, Dec. 7 4-5:30 p.m. For more information call 381-2252 or check The Price office holds clinics Monday through Thursday 3-5:30 p.m.
