Public Notice Petition for Annexation

	A petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the
Huntington City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of a
parcel of land belonging to Bennett and Sandra Gunderson, Desert Edge
Christian Chapel, and Patrick Powell located south at approximately
400 S 100 E, more specifically described as follows:

	Beginning a point North 89°11' 26" East along the sixteenth line
571.98 feet from the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of the
Northwest quarter of Section 30, Township 17 South, Range 9 East
SLB&M, and running thence North 89°11' 26" East along said
sixteenth line 802.20 feet; thence South 01°14' 44" East, 430.13
feet; thence South 89°12' 00" West 802.77 feet; thence North
01°10' 10" West 429.99 feet to the point of beginning.

	Notice of certification was received by the Huntington City Council
on January 6, 2011. The complete annexation petition is available for
inspection and copying at the office of the Huntington City Recorder. 


	Huntington City may grant the petition and annex the area described
in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed
with the Emery County Boundary Commission through the Emery County
Commission Office at 75 East Main, Castle Dale, Utah 84513, and a copy
of the protest delivered to the Huntington City Recorder at 20 South
Main Street, Huntington, Utah 84528 by February 7, 2011.  A protest to
the annexation petition may be filed by property owners if it contains
the signatures of the owners of private real property that: (1) is
located in the unincorporated area within 2 mile of the area proposed
for annexation; (2) covers at least 25% of the private land area
located in the unincorporated area within 2 mile of the area proposed
for annexation; and (3) is equal in value to at least 15% of all real
property located in the unincorporated area within 2 mile of the area
proposed for annexation.
