Elder Chavez

Elder Edward M. Chavez III will return to the local area after serving in the South Dakota, Rapid City Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Elder Chavez is the son of Edward and Jerry Chavez of Wellington. He is the grandson of Edward Chavez Sr. and the late Dora Chavez of Helper and Ellis and LouJean Willson of Wellington.

An open house will be held in his honor Feb. 1 from 5-8 p.m. at his home, 484 South 100 East, Wellington.

Elder Curtis

Elder Evan Curtis completed a successful mission in the Canada Montreal French speaking Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and returned home Jan.15.

Elder Curtis is the son of Wes and Anne Curtis, formerly of Orangeville, now living in Cedar City. He is a grandson of Roger and Delores Curtis, Orangeville.

Elder Curtis has returned to Southern Utah University where he will continue his education.
