 | | Published 719 days ago | Sandbagging day in Green River for flood preparation
It was a joint effort between Emery County and Grand County as they met to fill sand bags in Green River. Emery County Sheriff Greg Funk was among the organizers for the event. The event was successful as hundreds of bags were filled to meet the upcoming concerns for flooding along the Green River. Many volunteers from organizations throughout the county met to help with the effort. Grand County brought some of their trustees to help with the project. The sand bags are now available for use by Green River citizens to protect their property.
