Across the state, moisture levels are at a threatening low

The snow was a welcome sight in Emery County's unusually dry winter..

Emery County received some much needed moisture this past week as small amounts of snow fell on local communities. Snow fell on Thursday and rains came to the valleys on Sunday. Storms are expected throughout the next week. The county is currently at 60 percent of normal snowpack and another dry summer is inevitable.
