Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Diane Lee Schmidt, age 64, passed away July 3, 2011 at her home.

She was born March 19, 1947 in Price, Utah to Veral and Anna Fisher Birch.

Married Albert Blackburn, he later died. On May 5, 1978, she married William"Billy" Lee Schmidt in Elko, Nev. and he passed away on Aug. 25, 2009.

Diane enjoyed being outdoors and going for rides with the love of her life Billy. She loved spending time with her family, especially having fun playing with the light of her life Leilah. Diane will be dearly missed by her family and a community of friends.

She is survived by her children, Rulon (Kim) Blackburn, Moab; Rulinda (Clint) Sanderson, Scooter (Nicole) Schmidt, Brenda Schmidt, all of Price; sisters, Barbara (Delbert) Hales, Karen (Chris) Anderson, Pat Murray, Pauline Tucker, all of Price, Debbie (Frank) Schmidt, Washington; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother, Bob Wetherington; and sister Ellen Sanchez.

A memorial gathering was held Friday evening, July 8, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. at the Pioneer Park in Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends may share memories of Diane at
