Fourth Annual San Rafael ClassicTriathlon at Huntington

Volunteers count the swimmers as they enter the water for the Fourth Annual San Rafael Classic Triathlon held at Huntington State Park on July 9. Eighteen men and women participated in the Olympic Triathlon which consists of a one mile swim, a 30 mile bike ride and a 10K run. Seventy three men and women participated in the Sprint Triathlon which consists of a 1/2 mile swim, a 15 mile bike ride and a 5K run.Twelve men and women participated in the Duathlon (bike and swim), and 30 boys and girls participated in the Jr. Triathlon, a 100 yard swim, two mile bike ride and 1/2 mile run.
