A local "boy," Steve Barton from Elmo spent the past weekend at the St. George Marathon. He crossed the finish line in four hours and one minute. Runnng the 26.2 mile marathon was a culimation of weeks of training and building mileage and doing what Steve finds fun, "just running." Ask any of the 7,200 participants why run a marathon and you will get 7,200 different reasons. Barton is a running enthusiast as well as being a member of the MECCA bike club.
