Public Comment Period for Conveyance of Federal Land to Emery County for the Establishment of a Public Shooting Range

 PRICE, Utah - Emery County proposes to establish a public shooting
range facilities complex.
 	The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Price Field Office has examined
a parcel of public land and found it suitable for classification and
conveyance under the provisions of the Recreation and Public Purposes
(R&PP) Act.  The area to be conveyed is approximately three miles
north of Castle Dale, in Emery County, Utah, containing approximately
40 acres.  A Notice of Realty Action for the shooting range has been
published in the Federal Register. 
 	The BLM Price Field Office welcomes comments on the proposed
classification and conveyance of Federal land to the county and asks
that submitted comments be as specific as possible.  Additional
information about this project, including potential impacts of
conveyance, is included within an Environmental Assessment (EA) and is
available for public review and comment.  An electronic copy of the EA
can be found on the BLM's Environmental Notification Bulletin Board
(ENBB) at or a hard copy can be
obtained from the Price Field Office upon request.  Comments which
contain only opinions or preferences will be considered in the BLM
decision-making process, but will not receive a formal response.  The
most useful comments are those which identify alternatives, identify
issues relevant to the proposal, or contain new technical or
scientific information.

the subject line, if e-mailing.  Written comments will be accepted by
fax, e-mail, or letter for 45 days after publication in the Federal

other personal identifying information with your comments.  The BLM
will not consider anonymous comments.  Please be aware that entire
comments, including personal identifying information, may be made
available to the public at any time.  Requests can be made to withhold
personal identifying information from public review; however, such
requests cannot be guaranteed.  All submissions from organizations,
businesses, and from individuals identifying themselves as
representatives or officials of organizations or businesses will be
available for public inspection in their entirety.
 	Persons who use a telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD) may
call the Federal Information Relay Service (FIRS) at 1-800-877-8339 to
contact the above individual during normal business hours.  The FIRS
is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to leave a message or
questions with the above mentioned individual.  You will receive a
reply during normal business hours.
