NOTICE OF LANDFILL PERMIT RENEWAL
Emery County has submitted a permit renewal application to continue
operation of the Class I landfill north of Castle Dale, Utah. The
Class I landfill receives waste described in the permit application as
municipal solid waste from households in Emery County.
The Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste has reviewed the permit
renewal application and prepared a draft permit. Before taking action
on the request, the Division is providing a public comment period to
receive public input. The public comment period on the draft permit
begins November 8, 2007 and will end December 7, 2011. A public
hearing may be held if, within 15 days of publication of this notice,
a request is made to the Executive Secretary in writing and meets the
requirements of Utah Administrative Code R315-311-3.
An unofficial copy of the application and the draft permit can be
viewed on the Internet at www.hazardouswaste.utah.gov. Official
copies are available for public review during normal business hours at
the following locations.

Written comments will be accepted if received by 5:00 PM on December
