WHEREAS, Clawson Town scheduled a General Election on November 8,
2011 to elect two town council members; and
WHEREAS, there are 0 candidates for the two open positions and
WHEREAS, Section 20A-1-206, Utah Code Annotated, 1953 as amended,
specifically provides that a municipal legislative body may cancel a
local election if there are no candidates that hvae filed;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved as follows:
1. That 0 persons have filed as candidates for the position of
Clawson Town council member
2. That there are 2 open positions on the Clawson Town council
3. That the General Election for Clawson Town scheduled for
November 8, 2011 is hereby cancelled.
