James Keeton Nolan of Chandler, Ariz. passed from this earth in the evening of Feb. 25, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He had been bravely battling leukemia for several years. James is the loving son of the late Erma Lee Alger Nolan Weber, formerly of Cleveland, Utah.

Jim was born in Galveston, Texas on Aug. 31, 1948, to Erma Lee Alger and James Anthony Nolan. James lived most of his life in Utah and Arizona. He graduated from Tempe High School and Arizona State and also served as a US Marine in Vietnam. He married Peggy Day, they later divorced.

Jim loved sports, especially golf, hockey and football. He had an incredible sense of humor and loved to spend time laughing with family and friends. Underneath the humor was an intelligent, tender hearted soul. Throughout his battle he never complained and his concern was always for others.

Jim is survived by his son James Anthony Nolan, daughter Brooke Ecklund, precious granddaughter Brielle Ecklund, all of Chandler, Ariz., and four loving siblings, Layna (Bill) Bennett, Randy (Chris) Weber, Debbie (Steve) Owens, all of California, and Larry Weber of Arizona.

Graveside services will be Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Cleveland City Cemetery.

Funeral services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the guest book and share memories of James at www.fausettmortuary.com.
