The Utah National Guard will visit Emery County on June 8-12. The will be based in the Millsite State Park. They will bring in 72 vehicles including hummers and trucks. There will be four-five helicopters involved in the exercises. On June 9 there will be a community night at the Ferron Park where the community can come and look at the choppers. Sheriff Greg Funk said he is excited to have the National Guard visit Emery County. He hopes to develop a working relationship with them. Jeremy Tannahill who grew up in Ferron was instrumental in bringing the guard to Emery County for training exercises.
