Canyon View Junior High will be missing two familiar faces next fall when the students return. Librarian Shirley Baltzer and Coach Bill Wright are retiring. Baltzer has been the librarian at the school for 26 years. Coach Wright has taught English at the school and coached boys and girls basketball, wrestling, football and volleyball over the years. He has taught for 33 years, most of which he spent at Canyon View Junior High.

A going away social was held in their honor at Canyon View Junior High. Many friends and fellow teachers stopped by to wish them well in their retirement. They were presented with gifts. Shirley and Tom Baltzer who retired as principal from Huntington Elementary will be heading south to be closer to their children. Coach Wright lives in Price and plans to spend more time with his grandchildren.
