Emery's girls' basketball had a rough week this week, falling 73-46 at home to Carbon and 50-33 at Delta.

The Lady Spartans are still looking for consistency on offense and are struggling to recapture the suffocating defense they showed during the Christmas break.

Cheryl Grant, Emery's 6' 3" center, has led the Spartans in scoring in most of the games, but teams have started to double- and triple-team her. The rest of the team has had great moments, but rarely at the same time.

With the loss, Emery falls to 0-3 in the region and 5-9 overall.

The Spartans have a chance to better their fortunes starting this week when they take on 4-11 North Sanpete Thursday at the Spartan Center.
