Celebrate the First day of Christmas with Orangeville City on Dec. 1 at the Old Fire Station and city park. Schedule at a glance: 2 p.m. fun run/walk/4 wheeler ride, 4 p.m. chili/soup and gingerbread house judging begins, 5-6:30 dinner will be served. 6:30 Santa arrives and bonfire, 8 p.m. Movie The Santa Clause.
The Santa Fun Walk/Run 4 wheeler ride will be $5 per person or $15 per family. Those doing the fun run walk meet at XTO site, 4-wheeler riders meet at city park. Chili and soup will be accepted from 3-3:45 on Dec. 1 at the community center, judging will be at 4 p.m., bring at least one gallon to be shared for dinner. All entries for the 1st annual gingerbread contest need to be at the Old Fire Station by 4 p.m. They must be made entirely of edible items, three categories will be judged: Elementary, teenage and adult. Santa arrives and the bonfire behind the baseball field begins at 6:30. Movie The Santa Clause at the Old Fire Station 8 p.m.
