She enjoyed camping and fishing and taught many of her grandkids how to fish. She knew the desert like the back of her hand and knew the most interesting places to find interesting rocks and fossils. She also enjoyed spending time at her daughters place in Joe's Valley.

Beverly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed being a part of the Huntington Fourth Ward. She served as Cub Scout den mother for many years and is remembered as being a lot of fun. She was a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served in various leadership positions for many years. She liked to play softball and was asked to coach several times. Beverly was an active member of the Huntington Senior Citizen's Band and loved it. She also served with the R.S.V.P. She had a fun personality; she could talk to anyone and had many friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Lewis) Gilpin, son, Chris Nielson, daughters-in-law Lynell Nielson and Vickie Nielson, brothers, Dennis (Maurine) Tuttle, Howard (Dawnette) Tuttle, sister-in law, Marjorie Nielson, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
