| Stevie Feuers answering what DARE stands for. |
Students from the fifth grade participated in DARE graduation ceremonies recently at Huntington and Cleveland elementary schools. Deputy Paul Simmons taught the program to the children and the course concluded with a ceremony where some of the students read their stories they had written about staying off of drugs and not being involved in violence. The students each received their DARE shirts and a pizza party was held. Bob Smith from Huntington Elementary addressed the students and parents and stated if the DARE program has had an influence on even one child to keep them off of drugs and alcohol, then the program has been a success.
