Canyon View wrestling places second in tourney

After splitting the regular season matches and sharing the season title, Canyon View Junior High and Mont Harmon Junior High battled right to the end in the Castle Valley Junior High wrestling tournament before Mont Harmon edged the Cougars by four points to claim the tournament title in a meet held at Helper Junior High. Helper finished third and San Rafael finished fourth.

Individual winners for Canyon View were Colton Allred, Joe Stoddard, Cole Stoddard and Justin Jennings.

Cougar wrestlers finishing second included Ashton Diehl, Cameron Peterson, Daryl Guymon, Austin Guymon, Abram Hadfield and Ty Mecham.

Cougars that battled for third place were Tristen Prettyman, Tel Gardner, Bowdie Feichko, Kacey Jones, Race Nielson, Luis Salazar, Kaden Allred and Hal Guymon.

For the San Rafael Bulldogs, Nathan Urie, Steven Ledger and Cameron Nelson all went home winners. Urie finished the season undefeated.

Hayden Cloward finished third and John Behling and Ethan Winter finished fourth for San Rafael.
