He married his soul mate, LaRene Leslie on Feb. 6, 1954 in Ferron. They shared their life together for 58 years and had two wonderful daughters.

Earl and LaRene began their first two years of their life together in Price and later moved to Murray where they lived for nine years while Earl was employed painting trailers. They then moved to Ferron where he leased a cow ranch for five years and also worked for Tracy Jeffs while trying to farm. They later bought a ranch in Emery where they spent the next 31 years. Earl enjoyed working with the cows and farming. Earl retired in 1995 when he and LaRene became snowbirds, traveling in the winter to Arizona and coming home to Ferron in the summer for 15 years. In 2010 they sold their fifth wheel and bought a home in Ferron.

Earl's favorite moments were spent 4-wheeling with his wife, family and friends after his retirement. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
