MESQUITE, NEVADA

Garn Andrew Anderson, 87, passed away Feb. 15, 2013 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 29, 1925 in Richfield, to Earl Andrew and Happy June Nielson Anderson. He married Faro Simonsen, Feb. 20, 1945 in Richfield. Garn served in WWII and Korea, in the US Navy for a total of six years. He was vice-president of First Interstate Bank. He served for three years on the Banking and Finance Committee under Governor Scott Matheson. He was part-owner of an office supply store in Price. Survived by wife, Faro; son, Russell L. Anderson, both of Mesquite; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister: Earline Bartley. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Bryce Anderson.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Richfield City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary after 10 a.m. Military rites by the V.F.W.
