During the early morning hours of April 2 the trailer of Fidencio and Omar Huerta caught fire and was quickly consumed by smoke and flames. The trailer they called home was completely destroyed leaving the two with the clothes they escaped with. A sloppy Joe benefit dinner was organized by the Student body officers and class officers from Green River High School to help Fedencio and Omar get back on their feet.

The community rallied to support with approximately 100 citizens braving the chilly evening weather for the dinner.
