FERRON - Deward Berdell Bentley, "Bert", age 78, passed away April 18, 2013 at his home in Ferron, Utah. Bert was born August 3, 1934 in Cedar City, Utah to Deward and Maxine Stevens Bentley. He married Mary Lue Madsen July 31, 1952 in Logan, Utah.

Bert is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Debra (Richard) Burr of Ferron, and Troy (Tammy) Bentley of Huntington; siblings: Rodney (Jerrlyn) Bentley of Cedar City, Utah, Beverly Gillins of Tremonton, Utah, Brenda Lamoreaux of Butte, Montana, and Randy Bentley of Perry, Utah; brother-in-law, Harold (LaRee) Madsen of Salt Lake City, Utah; 10 grandchildren; and 19 ¾ great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Deward and Maxine Bentley; two sons, Danny and Tommy Bentley; in-laws, Arvel and Vay Madsen; brothers-in-law, Ray Gillins and Michael Lamoreaux; sisters-in-law, Joy Lynn Bentley, Wanana Hendersen, and Roberta Raiser Madsen; son-in-law, John Royle; two nephews; one niece; and several close friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Ferron LDS Stake Center (555 South 400 West, Ferron). There will be a viewing Monday, April 22 from 6-7 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (720 North Center St., Castle Dale) and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
