Come and meet Utah Jazz forward DeMarre Carroll on June 18 at 4 p.m. at Emery High. DeMarre just finished his fourth year in the NBA and his second with the Utah Jazz. He played in 66 games for the Jazz last season and started 12 games.

He averaged 6 points and 3 rebounds per game. He graduated from Missouri in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in human and organizational development.

He earned the nickname "Junkyard Dog" because of his intense work ethic. He led John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, Ala. to two straight state championships in 2003 and 2004. He became the first player in the history of the school to have his jersey No. 32 retired during a ceremony in August of 2009. Everyone welcome to come and meet DeMarre and learn more about basketball. On June 20, DeMarre will be at Green River High at 10 a.m.
