| Sheriff Lamar Guymon, Sgt. Tom Harrison and Lt. Bill Downard work to install sod. |
The Emery County Sheriff's Office employees have been participating in putting in a yard for Lisa Johnson the wife of fallen warrior, Jeremiah Johnson. The project began with the leveling of the land and the hauling in of top soil which was distributed throughout the yard. A sprinkling system was installed and then sod was put down by volunteers from the sheriff's office. A number of local businesses contributed to the endeavor by donations of parts and materials. Emery County Sheriff Lamar Guymon said, "We will also be planting trees when the weather cools off and we will be paving the rear driveway to the house. We really appreciate all of the help we've had on the project from the people in our office and those out in the community who have offered their services to the project."
At the San Rafael Pro Rodeo on July 25 and 26, Jeremiah will be honored during the grand entry.
Jeremiah's father, Randy Johnson will open the rodeo on Saturday night with the singing of the National Anthem.
