The Green River Lady Pirates will play in one of three play-in games that will be held this Wednesday morning at Utah Valley University in the UCCU Center to determine who will advance to the Utah State 1-A volleyball tournament that begins later that same afternoon. Green River will play Escalante at 10 am for the right to advance. Tabiona and Dugway will also face off as will Wendover and Valley.

Green River is the fourth place team out of region 19 and has to face the sixth place out of region 20 for the right to advance. The winner of this game will advance to face Rich High School, the winner of region 17 and the holder of a 15-9 record. That game will start at 2:00 p.m. The other two teams in this part of the bracket are Intermountain Christian and Milford. The winners will later face off as will the losers of those games.

St Joseph's is the top ranked school with a perfect record of 21-0 and is the winner of region 18. Rich is ranked number two followed by Monticello and Panguitch. All four teams are region winners. Piute is ranked fifth and possesses the second best record in 1-A ball at 19-3. Monticello won region 19 and was followed by Whitehorse, Monument Valley and Green River in that order.
