PUBLIC NOTICE

	PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the following opportunities to
serve on county boards now exist.  Below is a listing of the vacancies
which will occur on or about January 1, 2014.

	If you are a registered voter in Emery County and  interested in
serving on one of these county boards,  please obtain and return a
volunteer application form on line at emerycounty.com or in the Emery
County Clerk/Auditor's office by January 10,  2014.  Appointment will
be made the first regular commission meeting on January 14, 2014. 


EMERY COUNTY ADVISORY COUNCIL ON AGING AND NUTRITION

	The Emery County Advisory Council on Aging and Nutrition shall
consist of 7 (seven) members representative of Emery County's
geographic area, with at least 75% of the membership being senior
persons or representatives of the seniors.  The Board shall be charged
with the development and approval of activities and advises on budgets
and program planning. 

4 (four) vacancies - Serving a 3 (three) year term.

MUSEUM OF THE SAN RAFAEL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

	This board's mission statement is to preserve the vast heritage of
Emery County and to stimulate interest, pride and education of our
Native American, paleontological, archaeological geological, and
pioneer historical heritages.  

1 (one) vacancy - Serve a 4 (four) year term ending January 2018


NORTH EMERY WATER USER'S SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT

	To be eligible to serve on this board - you must live within the
boundaries of the district. 

	This district was created for the purpose of providing water within
its boundaries through the construction, purchase, gift, condemnation,
or any combination thereof, of the equipment, facilities, or system
necessary to provide said service.

1 (one) vacancy - Serve a 4 (four) year term ending January 2018

EMERY COUNTY RECREATION SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT

	This district was established in 1992 by Resolution of the Emery
County Board of Commissioners, declaring that the public health,
convenience and necessity require recreation facilities, including
museums and health related facilities and activities within Emery
County.  Membership consisted of 3 at-large members and 9 city
appointments.

2 (two) At-Large vacancies - Serve a 4 (four) year term ending January
2018.

EMERY COUNTY CARE AND REHABILITATION BOARD

	This board identifies needs, set goals and objectives, and
establishes policies in coordination with the Care Center
Administrator and the Emery County Board of Commissioners.  It is a
nine (9) member board appointed by the Emery County Commission.

1 (one) vacancy to fill an existing term.  This term will expire
January 2017.

EMERY COUNTY TRAVEL BUREAU

	The purpose of this board is to administer the transient room tax and
promote, monitor, and manage tourism within Emery County.  The Emery
County Travel Bureau board meets regularly.  The board consisted of
members from both the eastern and western side of the county.  A
majority of the directors shall be current employees of entities in
the county that are subject to the taxes imposed by law.

1 (one) vacancy to fill a four year term from the western side of the
county.  This term will expire January 2018.
