District spelling bee winners

The Emery School District held their district spelling bee on Feb. 5 at the Emery High Little Theatre. When the words were all spelled the following winners were crowned: Tiana Jensen, first place, Robbie Maughan, second place and third place Jess Christiansen. The district winners will advance to the regional competition on March 5. Those participating included: Book Cliff Elementary 4th Grade - Isabelle Maughan 5th Grade - Douglas Maughan III 6th Grade - Rebecka Shaffer Castle Dale Elementary 4th Grade - Jace Mangum 5th Grade - Jaxton Lake 6th Grade - Jace Jorgensen Cleveland Elementary 4th Grade - Hallie Winn 5th Grade - Ashly Leffler 6th Grade - Gracie Winn Ferron Elementary 4th Grade - Jess Christiansen 5th grade - Maggie Christensen 6th grade - Brynne Urie Huntington Elementary 4th Grade - Jordyn Fillmore 5th Grade - Arilyn Allred 6th Grade - Jayce Rudd Canyon View Jr. High 7th Grade - Tiana Jensen 8th Grade - Allen Durrant Cottonwood Elementary 4th Grade - Trace Madsen 5th Grade - Kohler Tanner 6th Grade - Anthony Reid San Rafael Jr. High 7th Grade - Ethan Anderson 8th Grade - Parker Sermon Green River High 7th Grade - Prisma Mendez 8th Grade - Jacob Cox
