Helper and Price American Legion teams met on July 7. Manager Jeff Cisneros said, "Last night we played Price. We won by a score of 10-1. Dillon Wilstead pitched the entire game and did a great job. He held Price to 4 hits and 1 run. "We jumped out early in the first inning and scored 5 runs. A single by Ridge Nielson, a triple by Cole Fossat, a double by Marco Mota and a single by Dillon Wistead did the damage in the first inning. "We added two more runs in the second inning on a homerun by Cole Fossat, a double by Bryce Blackburn and a RBI single by Jarod Lessar. We added a run in the fourth inning and lead 8-0 after 4 innings. We finished off the scoring the sixth inning on a single by Fossat, a triple by Blackburn and a RBI sac fly by Lessar. Over all we had hits and I thought we did a nice job against the Price pitching. "Cole Fossat had 4 hits on the night with two singles, a triple and homerun. Bryce Blackburn had a double a triple. We played good defense and had no errors on the night and it was a good win for us. Our league record now stands at 7-3. "Murray will not be playing us on July 9. They have forfeited their games with us on Wednesday night in Helper. So no games in Helper this Wed night. Our next home game will be a double header with Corner Canyon on Monday July 14 at 5 and 7 pm., said Cisneros.
