Huntington Wins the Youth Football Championship

Huntington plays Orangeville for first and second place.

Huntington and Orangeville squared off in the SuperBowl for Youth Football on Oct. 28. Both teams looked tough and Gatlan Huntington from Orangeville scrambled in for a touchdown in the first half to lead 6-0 at halftime. Huntington came alive in the fourth quarter when Nevin Jensen, quarterback connected with Nick Stoddard, receiver for a touchdown. The score stood 6-6 at the end of regulation. The game went into three overtimes before Huntington player Jake Nielson strutted in for a score. Orangeville tried to even the score again but the pass on fourth down fell incomplete to end the game 12-6 for Huntington.
