Special Needs Dance Program
Special Needs Dance registration will be held April 8 from 2-5 p.m. at the Emery County Recreation office, 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale. The program will be April 15-16. In a ruling issued on March 24, the US Court of Appeals has temporarily restored internet connections for the BLM and other Dept. of Interior agencies. This ruling will remain in effect until further review by the court.

The 2004 Vintage Photo Contest is out to spur interest in old photos with cash and prizes. Finalists will be judged on aesthetic value and the interest of the stories behind the photos. Reading Rainbow Annual National Contest
Castle Dale Library announces its intent to promote the Reading Rainbow's 10th Annual National Contest. Kindergarten through third grade students can enter by writing and illustrating their own stories. Every entrant will receive a certificate of achievement signed by LaVar Burton. Emery High Rodeo
The Emery High School Rodeo Team will host their annual rodeo April 16-17 at the rodeo grounds in Castle Dale. The rodeo will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. A moment to honor the seniors on the team will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday evening.

CASA Volunteers Needed
Each year hundreds of children in Emery and Carbon counties become wards of the juvenile court system due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. The child welfare system can only devote so much time and attention to each individual case and , consequently, to each individual child. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteers are ordinary men and women who find it in their hearts and their schedules to help these abused and neglected children. Biking by Choice
Biking by Choice is sponsoring a bicycle ride through Utah to remind Utahns about the Utah donor registry.
