An Elmo father and his two sons were hunting on Oct. 26 on the Burma Road just off SR-31 in Huntington Canyon. The mentally handicapped 22 year old son mistakenly took his father for a deer walking through the brush and shot through the brush hitting the father in the leg. The gun was a 30/30 Winchester rifle. They used a cell phone to call for help and the Huntington ambulance responded and transported the father to Castleview Hospital.
