Reflections Awards Night

The annual awards night for the PTA Reflections was held on Jan. 29 at the Museum of the San Rafael. Winners from Carbon and Emery County gathered to receive their awards. Winners participated in eight different categories including: photography, dance, literature, three dimensional art, visual arts, theatre, music and video. Superintendant Kirk Sitterud from the Emery School District presented the Emery County awards. He said he appreciated the PTA and their participation in the arts at area schools. He said as budgets decrease the art programs are usually the first to go and the support of the PTA in encouraging the arts is very valuable to the schools. Emery Council winners: Andrew Terry, Nick Stoddard, McKoy Kemple, Aaron Knighton, Joshua Knighton, Allyson Woolsey, Derek Anderson, Nathan Mecham, Brettlyn Tuttle, Savannah Woolsey, Jed Kofford, and Sydni Ekker, Carbon Council winners: Brindee Herrick, Karissa Nelson, Beth Child, Jamie Jewkes, Chantyl Henrie, Canyon Kelley, Tyce Addley, Taylor Woodward, Regan Powell, Dalton Rudman, Kristalyn Edwards, Georgie Zamantakis, Carrson Tattan, Othen Motte, Brianne Ewan, Chelsie Farmer, Halyn Palmer, Brooklyn Banasky, and Kilee Tanner. Nancy Cammans, region 12 PTA president presented the region awards.
