Duane Collard is the county party chairman.

The Emery County Democrats met in their organizing convention recently at the Huntington Senior Citizen Center. They had a lasagna dinner and door prizes for the attendees. State party candidates were introduced by county party chairman, Duane Collard. Party members were encouraged to reach out to their county friends and neighbors and bring new people into the party. The party needs to be built from the grassroots. Democratic candidates have a message they can be proud to run on.

One issue of import is health care. Democrats believe every citizen has a right to a universal healthcare system. Democrats are working to build the economy while being mindful of environmental concerns.
