John Wimer from Salt Lake works at the new Cabela's he said, "We have hired 95 percent of the people to operate the Lehi store from Utah. Stores have been announced for Reno and a store will open in Glendale, Ariz. in 2006. We expect people will drive from as far as 400 miles to the new store here in Lehi. On the first visit people will spend upwards of four hours in the store. It is a destination store and we plan on having visitors from California, Oregon and Canada. We have already had many calls from people out of state who are anxious to visit the store. Cabela's is known internationally and we expect visitors from all around the globe.
"Everyone is welcome here. The store contains 430 animals including fish, skins, shoulder mounts and life-size mounts. The mounts came from various sources and we have many world record holders. The African diorama depicts the many different types of animals found in Africa. We have a large aquarium containing many species of fish. Cabela's is also a fine gun purveyor and the gun library is among the finest in the world. All of the guns in the library are also for sale," said Wimer.

If hunger strikes as you cruise around the store a full service restaurant on the second floor is sure to fill the hunger gap. A home furnishings department for the rustic look for home and cabin is also on the second floor along with camping supplies. An interactive shooting range is also upstairs and an indoor archery range is located just off the archery department. If you're on the hunt for a good deal then a visit to the Bargain Cave is in order. The cave features returned items and low prices on discontinued items.
