A public hearing will be held during the Sept. 6 Emery County Commissioners meeting at the county building at 5 p.m. The purpose of the public hearing is for the commissioners to receive comments concerning the designation of Emery County roads, streets, or highways open for off-highway vehicles and establishing regulations related to this designation.
The proposed amendment and map can be viewed in the Emery County Clerk/Auditor's office or on emerycounty.com. In May the Emery County Commissioners adopted an ordinance allowing OHVs on certain county roads. This public hearing will be to make clear and take comments on the wording changes to the ordinance, and to adopt the map which designates each county road as open or closed.
