A loader was taken from a construction site on I-70 over Labor Day weekend. Penhall Construction company out of Colorado is doing construction work in the area and a loader, trailer and bucket forks were removed from the construction site.

Total loss was estimated at $33,000. The construction company has a base yard just off of Milepost 131.

The equipment belongs to Sunstate Equipment rentals from Salt Lake.

Penhall has been in the area doing construction work and they were taking the weekend off for the Labor Day holiday. Emery County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case. So far they do not have any leads. A special hitch was needed to pull the trailer away from the scene so investigators speculated that someone had been watching the construction site waiting for an opportunity.

The loader and trailer were taken from the scene on I-70, but it is not known the direction of travel. Investigators are looking for help with the case. If anyone saw anything unusual or suspicious please contact the sheriff's office at 435-381-2404.
