September 16 and 17

Friday-vendors in the park from noon until dark; GRHS baseball game with Escalante at 3 p.m.; softball games start in the afternoon and go all evening; queen pageant at the high school at 7 p.m.; three man golf scramble at the golf course; and square dancers at the city park at 8 p.m.

Saturday-breakfast, sponsored by Close-up at the city park at 6 a.m.; parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street; local entertainment at 11:30 a.m.; followed by "Latigo" with cowboy poetry and music; softball games all day and evening until finished; square dancers at the city park, pre-rounds start at 7:30 p.m.; dance at 9 p.m.

Free melons all day at the park on Saturday.
