The Green River Pirates baseball team continued their quest for a play-off berth with their third region win in a row. With a victory over Valley, the Pirates kept their hopes alive as they prepare to finish the regular season this week.

On Wednesday of last week, Green River defeated Bryce Valley at Bryce Valley 13-3. Parker Hatt picked up the complete game victory.

The Pirates scored two runs in the first inning, another in the second inning, six more in the fourth inning and four more in the fifth inning. Bryce Valley scored a single run in each of the first three innings. Vetere had a homerun and Fail hit a triple in the game.

On the previous Friday, Green River defeated Escalante 2-1 as the Pirates took advantage of three Escalante errors to win the close game. Hatt also pitched a complete game here to also pick up the victory.
