Josalyn Ryan

PRICE - Josalyn "Jawsy" Clare Ryan, age 23, returned home to her Father in Heaven and many loved ones on Oct. 24, 2005.

She was born Aug. 1, 1982 in Payson, to Jerry Dee Ryan Jr. and Annette Clare (Taylor) Ryan.

Graduated from Carbon High School in May 2000 and was the first student there to "letter" in music. She attended CEU and was working as a prep cook/bakers helper there.

Josalyn loved making others happy and her warm smile brought sunshine to all those she came in contact with. Josalyn was very unselfish and would freely give to others. She lived life to the fullest and everyday was an adventure for her. She enjoyed the simple things of life like rainbows, stars and the sunrise.

She enjoyed singing, photography, crocheting, writing poetry, fishing, dancing, cats and children. But most of all, Josalyn loved music and was able to play any instrument by ear. She was practicing to sing for the annual Handel's Messiah in which she participated the last four years.

Survived by mother, Annette Ryan, Price; grandmother, LeOra Taylor, Spanish Fork; aunt, OraLee (Dennis) Palombo, Spanish Fork; uncle, Dennis Lee Ryan, California; aunt, Meleta (Glen) Durst, Fredricksburg, Texas; aunt, Sharon Ryan, Oregon; two chosen brothers, David (Becky) Marchello, Price; Jonathon Marchello, Price; four half-sisters, Kelly Ryan, Kerville, Texas; Yvonne, Missouri; DeeAnn, Missouri; Annie, California; half-brothers, Matt Ryan, Houston, Texas; Jerry D. Ryan, III.; Fredricksburg, Texas; best friend, Tammy Marx, Price; special godson, Dustin Peterson, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by father, Jerry Dee Ryan Jr.; grandfather, Clarence James Taylor; grandfather, Jerry Dee Ryan Sr.; grandfather, Kenneth Croft Avery; and grandmother, Emily Ryan Avery.

Funeral service was held Sat., Oct. 29, 10 a.m., Helper LDS Stake Center, 150 Ridgeway. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main, Friday evening, 6-8 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Saturday, 2:30 p.m., Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East.

Kevin Wells

WELLINGTON - Kevin Wells, age 46, passed away suddenly on Oct. 25, 2005 of a massive heart attack.

He as born Oct. 14, 1959 in Price to Ross and Maxine Lambson Wells. Married Lynette Vuksinick Feb. 14, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Kevin was a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1978 and was employed at Deer Creek Coal Mine where he worked for the past 28 years.

Kevin was a sports fanatic and he wrestled and played football all through high school. He was a passionate Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos fan. Kevin and Kyle argued constantly over the Broncos and Raiders.

Kevin coached Justin, Kyle and Josh through little league and quite a few all-star games. He coached little league football for all the boys and loved every minute of it. He wanted to coach Jessie in softball, however, she wanted to play little league and he wasn't going for that.

Kevin and Josh were his all time hunting partners. Kevin said Josh had such buck fever that he would knee-cap everything he shot at. Last years buffalo hunt for Josh was very important to both of them.

Jessie was the light of his life. If he would have had his way, she would have never dated. He was very excited about her starting college in January and was always amazed at how smart and beautiful she was.

Survived by wife of 25 years, Lynette Wells; son, Josh and Jessica Lehman; daughter, Jessie; nephew, Kyle Hamann; foster daughter, Sasha Fowler and Mike; and Papa's only granddaughter, Angel; foster daughter, Angela Sorrels; mother, Maxine Wells; sister, Kriss Larsen; brothers, Keith, Kenny and Kerry Wells; sister-in-law, Vanessa (Ben) Benedict; and mother-in-law, Faye Vuksinick. Preceded in death by son, Justin; father, Ross; father-in-law, Martin Vuksinick; sister-in-law, Melanie; grandparents, Tom and Elga Wells, Lavelle and Emma Lambson; and aunt, Bonnie.

Funeral service was held Fri., Oct. 28, 11 a.m., at Wellington LDS Stake Center. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.

Vickie Oveson

CASTLE DALE/HELPER-Vickie Lee Anderson Oveson, age 56, passed away Oct. 30, 2005 at her mother's home in Helper. She was born July 31, 1949 in Price to Clarence Phillip and Noreen Hackwell Anderson. Married James Raymond Oveson, Nov. 23, 1967 in Helper; he passed away May 10, 1968 while serving in Vietnam.

Longtime resident of Carbon and Emery counties and graduate of Carbon High School in 1967. Vickie worked for Utah Power and Light, Hunter Plant for 23 years. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Survived by her son, Lance Littlejohn, Castle Dale; daughter Lynn Littlejohn, Wellington; grandchildren, Frankielyn and Scottie Kraync; mother, Noreen Anderson, Helper; sister, Teri (Alan) Sillitoe, Spring Glen; brother, Cregg (Bobbie) Anderson, Denver, Colo.; and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Preceded in death by her husband and father.

Graveside service, Thurs. Nov. 3, 2005, 2 p.m., Cleveland City Cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price Thursday from noon-1:15 p.m.

Jack Pruitt

HUNTINGTON-Jack W. Pruitt, age 81, passed away Oct. 29, 2005 in Price. He was born Sept. 27, 1924 in Nowada, Okla. to Turnar and Bertha Inez Allison Pruitt. Married Ione Mollie Collins, April 8, 1942 in Phoenix, Ariz.; she passed away on May 5, 2001. He was a resident of Huntington for the past 18 years.

Jack honorably served his country in the US Army during World War II. He was a dedicated member of the V.F.W. Miners Post #2379 and also a member of the D.A.V. "Jack's Christian belief was that there's no atheist's in a fox hole."

Survived by two daughters and one son: Virginia (Richard) Paoli, Martinez, Calif.; Ginger Maier, Elko, Nev.; Ralph (Neadath) Pruitt, Huntington; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Military graveside service Wed. Nov. 2, 2005, 1 p.m. at Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Riverton. Family and friends are welcome at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.

Anita Arballo

SUNNYSIDE - Anita Marie Arballo, age 45, passed away Oct. 23, 2005 at her home in Sunnyside.

Born Nov. 3, 1959 in Beverly Hills, Calif., to Arvid and Emma Bea McCloud Theorine. Married George Arballo Aug. 4, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Anita had a love for life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, swimming, playing darts and eating spaghetti. She had a great love for roses and her special friend, Cheyenne Marie Colcord.

Survived by mother, Bea Callor, Price; husband, George Arballo, Sunnyside; brother, Jim Theorine, Price; sister, Pam Napier, Biloxi, Miss.; aunts and uncles, Noma Boralho, Sun City, Calif.; Tom (Marie) Thomas, Oreville, Calif.; Murel (Jeanne) McCloud, Winchester, Calif.; Lil (Thurman) McCloud, Coos Bay, Ore.; nieces and nephews, Billy Colcord, Salt Lake City; Tiki Theorine, Biloxi, Miss.; James Theorine II, Malia Theorine, Juan Theorine, all of Price; Chris Colcord, Iraq; Alex Colcord, Gulfport, Miss.; and two great nieces and two great nephews. Preceded in death by father, Arvid Theorine; and stepfather, Jack "Papa" Callor.

Funeral service Thursday, 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment, Price City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Mitchell Funeral Home, P.O. Box 490, Price, UT 84501.
