A 29 year old from Ferron, was in court on April 18 for arraignment on a charge of alleged sexual abuse of a child. At the arraignment, a plea of no contest to a third degree felony charge of attempted forcible sexual abuse was entered, and was advised of rights and penalties and waived preliminary hearing. Judge Bruce K. Halliday ordered a presentence investigation. He also ordered Adult Probation and Parole to prepare a presentence report.
She was ordered not to have any contact with the victim and to have no unsupervised contact with adolescents. The sentencing is scheduled for July 18 at 1:30 p.m.
