Green River High School recently received a $2,500 grant from 100 Percent for Kids, a program administered by Utah's Credit Unions. Gary Arrington presented Green River High teacher Art Hughes with the check.
Green River High School accommodates 95 students in grades 7-12. As a small, rural school, there is very little money allocated for acquiring new technology. Hughes applied for the grant to purchase SMART boards for key classrooms in the school.
This new technology will allow students the opportunity to experience cooperation, innovation, responsibility and teamwork while learning in the classroom.
