Seniors Eve Guymon and Carly Anderson receive recognition at the last home game.

Just like that, the school year at Emery High is at a close and with that closing comes the end of the 2005-2006 athletic season. The Lady Spartans lost to the Delta Rabbits in a play-in game.

The Lady Spartans traveled to Spanish Fork to face the Rabbits for the third time this season. The two teams had split the first two ball games, each team having won on their own field. Delta won the game 3-2.

Delta took the first lead as they scored a run in the bottom of the first inning. Emery tied the score in the top of the second inning, took the lead in the top of the third at 2-1 and the watched Delta tie the score 2-2 in the bottom of the third. Neither team was able to put another run on the scoreboard until Delta scored in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim the win and the right to advance to region 10's first place site.
