Clay R. Gasser (Gozzo)

CLAWSON- Clay R. Gasser, age 50, passed away peacefully June 6, 2006, while surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.

He was born June 13, 1955 in American Fork to Ralph and Virginia Lundel Gasser.

Married the love of his life Christy Jean Riley, June 30, 1979 in Ferron.

Active member of the LDS Church. He was a longtime employee of Consol Emery Mine Local # 1261. Gozzo loved spending time with his family whether it was camping, fishing, hunting, tying flies, planting his garden, or just being together.

Survived by his beautiful wife, Christy Jean Gasser; four wonderful children, Zebadiah T. Gasser, Sarah (Michael K.) Allred, Christia V. Gasser, Zacariah C. Gasser; and his beautiful granddaughter, Brylei Jean Allred.

The love for his family will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and always remembered by his family and friends. We will love you forever Gozzo.

Preceded in death by his father, Ralph Gasser; and father-in-law, Lloyd George Riley.

Funeral service, Fri., June 9, 1 p.m., at the Blue Hills LDS Ward in Ferron. Family was at the church Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to service.

Interment, Ferron City Cemetery. Under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.

Dale Pilling

PRICE-Dale Cleon Pilling, age 78, passed away June 26, 2006 at Parkdale Care Center in Price. He was born Aug. 22, 1927 in Price, to Cleon Mason and Laura Jensina Grundvig Pilling. He married Dorthy Richmond, Aug. 31, 1949 in Nevada; she died April 6, 2006.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a longtime resident or Carbon County where he enjoyed working on his farm.

Dale was a retired employee with Utah Railway. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping in the Boulders, and taking trips to Las Vegas with Dorthy. He will be dearly missed by his family, especially his grandchildren whom he adored.

Survived by son, Michael Pilling, Huntington; daughter, Dalene (Joe) Spink, Price; sister, Merlene Anderson, Castle Dale; sister-in-law, LaDona (Joe) Rukavina, Price; brother-in-law, C.T. (Colleen) Richmond, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren, Mike, Adam, Jessica, Zach, Krisdale, Kensie and Branden, and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, son Scott Pilling, and brother Dan Pilling.

Funeral service, Thurs. June 29, 2006, 11 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell's Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.

Alex B. Chavez

HUNTINGTON-Alex B. Chavez, age 80, passed away June 21, 2006. He was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Rocky Ford, Colo. to Mike and Flora Rybal Chavez. He was a longtime resident of Helper where he retired from Utah Railway with 30 years of service.

Alex honorably served in the US Army during World War II, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He enjoyed fishing, restoring antique vehicles, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survived by three daughters and one son, Betty (Bruce) Gates, Las Vegas, Nev.; Alex (Midge) Chavez, North Glen, Colo.; Rose Marie Shearer, Anita (John) Nelson, both of Salt Lake City; companion, Mary Ann Rizzuto, Huntington; brother, Henry (Louise) Chavez, Helper; sister, Carmela Crespin, Martin; six grandchildren, Frank, Anthony, Joey, Jessica, Jason and Richard; great-grandchildren, Isiah and Camden. Preceded in death by parents, grandson Erik, brothers Jake, Ralph, Freddy, and sisters Delia, Margaret and Eleanor.

Funeral service was held Sat. June 24, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.

Donna Bean

Donna O. Fausett Bean, age 83, our loving sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on June 25, 2006. She was born July 17, 1922 in Price, Utah to Franklin LeRoy and Elvalene Olsen Fausett.

Donna married Benjamin Arnold Bean, June 26, 1941 in the Manti Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many church callings throughout her lifetime. Donna loved her family and was happiest being around them. She managed Arnold Bean Painting and Rental Store with her husband Arnold, until he passed away in 1974. Donna continued the business until she retired in 1985.

Survived by daughters Karen (Jim) Hansen of Huntington, Barbara (Thurman) Locke of Mendon, Utah, and son Kent (Sherry) Bean of Wellington; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Also survived by brothers Max Fausett of Payson, Ariz., Grant (Betty) Fausett of Price; and sister, Bertha Sanders of Price. Preceded in death by husband, Arnold Bean; eldest son, Ben Bean, and grandson Ben Bean. Also preceded in death by parents, brothers, LeRoy, Fausett and Bob Fausett; and sisters, Louise Davis and Lucille Palmer.

Funeral services will be held Wed. June 28, 2006 at 11 a.m. with visitation prior to services at 10 a.m. at the Price Fourth/Fifth ward at 545 East 400 North, Price. Interment in the Price City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

Family wishes to extend their gratitude to Ferron Care Center, Rocky Mountain Hospice and Fausett Mortuary.

Lloyd Harrison

PRICE-Beloved husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather, Lloyd Alfred Harrison, age 83, passed away June 20, 2006 after a long illness. Lloyd was born Aug. 19, 1922 in LaPoint, Utah to James Alfred and Conda Nielson Harrison. Married his high school sweetheart Boneta Nielsen on Nov. 18, 1942, and they spent 62 wonderful years together.

Lloyd was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he worked for Chevron Oil for 30 years and later became manager of the Carbon County Fairgrounds.

Survived by his wife, Boneta: two children, Janice (Gene) Luke, Draper; Brad (Dale) Harrison, Kapolei, Hawaii; eight grandchildren, Julie Jones, Jennifer Osguthorpe, Jeff Snow, Jeron Snow, Braderik Harrison, Bonnie Wooderson, Brian Harrison, Turner Harrison; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kent L. Harrison, Provo. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ross J. Harrison.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Heirloom Inn for the great care and love they gave Lloyd.

Graveside service was held Sat. June 24, 2006 at noon in the Cliffview Cemetery. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home Saturday one hour prior to service. Friends were welcomed at Mitchell's daily.
