| Children participate in the casting competition. |
On June 10, Millsite State Park in partnership with the Division of Wildlife Resources and Emery County hosted a special kids' fishing event. Kids took part in knot-tying clinics and a casting competition. Participants also won prizes. Every child won some form of fishing tackle (rods, reels, tackle kits, lures, or baits). Prizes were sponsored by a variety of businesses, clubs and organizations, including the Shakespeare Fishing Tackle Co., Kiwanas Club, Joy Mining, Sportsmen's Warehouse, Emery County and the DWR.
