Museum to raise money for outdoor dino display
|Three life-sized dinosaurs and a mammoth outside the Museum of the San Rafael is on the wish list for the museum board.|
The San Rafael Museum board has undertaken a project to place three lifesize dinosaurs and a mammoth outdoors at the museum in Castle Dale. They have written a grant proposal and have sent letters to businesses to gather corporate sponsors. They are looking for the support of the community in gathering the funds needed for installation of the concrete dinosaurs. Ramal Jones leads the effort and said, "The dinosaurs are done by an artist and are lifelike creatures, exceptionally well done. We would like to have a donation area at the Emery County fair where you can make contributions to the dinosaur effort. All contributors will receive their name on a recognition plaque."
